A LITTLE SPACE TO GROW

Come as you are.
Leave a little
more connected.

You don’t have to be an artist.
Just bring yourself, and an open mind.

Chewstick’s Retreat Program brings people together on Bermuda’s islands to create, share and slow down. It’s a weekend of new perspectives, unexpected friendships and room to reconnect with yourself.

From a skill you never knew you had to a conversation you didn’t know you needed, the experience is shaped by the people who show up. That includes you.

MAKE THE WEEKEND YOURS

There’s room for all of you.

Retreat participants gathered around an outdoor table for a workshop
New perspectives. Shared around a table.
01

Make & share

Try a participant-led workshop, pick up an instrument or bring a creative idea to life. Everyone has something to offer.

02

Connect & belong

Shared meals, group activities and Chewstick’s “Bredren” buddy system make space for people who might never otherwise meet.

03

Unplug & explore

Take a swim, play a little bocce or find a quiet spot by the water. There’s time to be still, too.

A FEW THINGS BEFORE YOU GO

Good to know.

A little preparation.
A lot to look forward to.

Ask us a question
Do I need to be an artist?

No experience is needed. The Retreat welcomes different interests, backgrounds and abilities. Come ready to learn, share and try something new.

What should I pack?

Bring bedding and a pillow, comfortable clothes and shoes, swimwear, towels, toiletries, sunscreen, a flashlight, a reusable water bottle, and a plate, cup and cutlery. A sketchbook, instrument, camera or favourite game is welcome, too.

You can bring a tent if you prefer. Keep your bags manageable, and check the full packing guidance (opens in a new tab) before you leave.

Can children and young people attend?

Yes. The Retreat is family-friendly, and everyone under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Contact the team to confirm the appropriate rate and arrangements for your family.

Can I lead a workshop?

Yes—share a skill, a passion or something you’ve learned. Sessions run for about 1.5–2 hours. Add your idea when you register; accepted facilitators receive a discounted retreat rate.

Read the facilitator guidance.

What if I have dietary or access needs?

Please contact the Retreat team before registering to discuss food requirements, mobility, boat access or accommodation needs. They can talk through the arrangements for the specific island and help you plan.

What’s expected of everyone?

Bring respect for each other’s identities, experiences and space. Everyone contributes to a welcoming community, and discrimination and harassment are not tolerated.

Participants agree to the Retreat Code of Conduct, guided by Respect, Freedom, Love and Truth.
